Newspaper Advertising Sales Representative

We’re looking for a bright, personable individual to join our fun and fast-paced retail advertising sales team. We are hoping to find the person who enjoys both phone and face-to-face interface with customers. Someone who is a problem solver and works well with small, local businesses. And, because we are always growing, we’re looking for someone who is not turned off by cold calling and enjoys meeting new people daily.

This job requires an organized individual with computer skills, creativity for ad development, math ability for creating proposals for customers, great presentation skills and a desire to succeed. A positive attitude is half the battle in sales. Ideally, we would prefer some media sales experience, but retail sales, business-to-business sales and/or telemarketing experience might be acceptable. We are willing to train the right person.

Outbound Sales Calls (Part Time)

art-time position conducting outbound telemarketing in support of the circulation department. Sell newspaper subscriptions for our award-winning publications to designated potential customers in order to achieve department sales goals. We pay hourly wage plus commission and bonus on sales. Woodburn Independent - Circulation Assistant

The Woodburn Independent has an immediate opening for a part-time circulation assistant. Duties include service of newspaper racks and dealer locations and delivery of newspaper bundles to youth carriers in rural communities. Approximately 16 hours a week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, a good driving record and proof of insurance. We are currently seeking an outgoing, dynamic individual to join The Newberg Graphic’s advertising sales team.  This is a part-time position of approximately 20 hours per week that will serve a sales territory in Newberg and St. Paul.  

We’re looking for a “people” person with a great personality and sales experience, media sales preferred.  You should have a proven record of sales success and not be afraid of finding new opportunities. 

You will need excellent interpersonal skills, organizational abilities, computer skills, the ability to stay focused on success and be a team player with a positive attitude.
