Sale volunteers said that although the price and selection of plants is a great draw, the cause behind the sale is the main motivator for most people to attend. With all proceeds for the event going to benefit Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) Doernbecher Children's Hospital and Children's Miracle Network, organizer Ricki Hackworth said that the sale is a great opportunity to support both organizations while taking home some beautiful plants.

For those who were less than excited about plants, the event offered arts and crafts booths from around the community, a bouncy house and food trucks on the periphery of the plant sale.SPOKESMAN PHOTO: CLAIRE GREEN - Most shoppers packed their trunks and passenger seats to fit all of plants they bought from the sale.
