WL police lieutenant returns after 10-week leave
West Linn Police Lieutenant Mike Stradley, who had been on paid administrative leave due to a personnel investigation since July, returned to work Wednesday, according to the City.
Stradley was placed under investigation shortly after Police Chief Terry Timeus, who was put on paid leave in June and remains under investigation according to West Linn Citizen Engagement Coordinator Courtney Flynn.
The City hired an outside contractor to conduct the investigations.
In the end, Stradley was found to have violated WLPD policies but was allowed to return to work after "appropriate actions" were taken.
Flynn said because this was a personnel matter, the City could not provide further comment on which policies Stradley violated and what actions were taken. The City also could not provide further comments on the timetable for the Timeus investigation.
