"Voices from the Past" featured a slew of actors playing famous real-life characters like city founder Robert Moore, Virgil and Dorothy Maddax and Portland General Electric Founder Edward Eastham. Throughout each tour, attendees heard speeches from the characters detailing their lives and accomplishments.

The historical society hopes to see the event become an annual tradition, and may also expand it going forward.

Jim Mattis played the role of Edward Eastham, who founded Portland General Electric.

Lorie Griffith detailed the life of Mary S. Young at the event.
