Authorities recently filed reports on the following incidents:

BURGLARIES

11/29 12:38 p.m. Jewelry was stolen from a residence in the 23300 block of Johnson Road.

11/29 10:56 p.m. A family came home in the 2600 block of Lorinda Lane, heard someone in the house and “they locked them in the closet.” Officers found no one in the home.

12/1 1:13 p.m. An 11-year-old boy was home alone when he heard someone enter the house. When he called out to the intruder, the man took off out the back door.

THEFT

11/27 2:43 p.m. A woman was cited and released for theft from Market of Choice.

FRAUD

11/23 6:40 a.m. A woman’s suspicions of fraud were aroused while she was staying at an out-of-town hotel when a caller asked for her address and credit card number.

11/25 1:51 p.m. A man received a call from some guy who claimed to be his grandson. He wanted “grandpa” to fork over $2,800 in bail money and $30,000 to hire a lawyer.

ACCIDENTS

11/22 10:01 a.m. A vehicle was sideswiped in the 400 block of A Avenue in Lake Oswego.

11/22 10:50 a.m. A man went out to his car in the 6300 block of White Tail Drive and found that somebody had backed into his garage door and driven away.

11/22 2:14 p.m. A vehicle went out of control in the 4200 block of Riverview Drive and ran over a shrub.

11/23 2:58 a.m. A vehicle went into a ditch after hitting a pole at Carriage Way and Rosemont Road.

11/23 9:47 a.m. A vehicle was hit overnight in the 2000 block of Ostman Road.

11/23 2:23 p.m. A woman driving a Jeep near Pimlico and Willamette drives nearly ran over a bicyclist because she was talking on her cellphone.

11/25 1:40 p.m. A driver called in to admit that he had left the scene of an accident at Hidden Springs Road and Willamette Drive in which he hit the mirror of a pickup truck.

11/25 5:30 p.m. An accident was reported on northbound Interstate 205 north of 10th Street.

11/25 5:43 p.m. An accident occurred on southbound I-205 at 10th Street.

11/25 7:50 p.m. A 61-year-old woman driver was cited and released for failure to perform the duties of a driver after her vehicle struck a stop sign at Hidden Springs and Rosemont roads.

11/26 1:37 p.m. While talking on his cellphone, a driver nearly caused several accidents while cruising down Hidden Springs Road near Willamette Drive. This earned him a well-deserved citation for careless driving.

LIFE IN WEST LINN

11/22 7:55 p.m. An unknown man and vehicle were at the end of the road near Fourth and Volpp streets.

11/22 1:06 p.m. Two mysterious figures were seen entering a woman’s home in the 2700 block of Lancaster Street, one carrying a bag, the other scruffy looking. Police determined they were maintenance workers.

11/22 9:24 p.m. A man was deemed suspicious in the 1300 block of Fourth Street.

11/22 10:23 p.m. When police were asked to check on loud teenage car clouters at Tanner Creek Park, they instead discovered middle school kids playing hide-and-seek.

11/23 1:58 a.m. Suspicious men with flashlights were seen walking around a hatchback near Firwood Court and Firwood Drive. However, they were only cleaning out their own car.

11/23 2:20 a.m. Midnight screamers could not be located in the 1200 block of Blankenship Road, but a mailbox was knocked over.

11/23 2:55 a.m. A small vehicle with a loud muffler was disturbing people in the 4000 block of Ridge Lane. It turned out that the driver was a new Oregonian deliverer who was doing route familiarization.

11/23 8:50 a.m. Trees were wrongly suspected of being illegally cut down in the 2200 block of Sunset Avenue.

11/23 6:05 p.m. A mailbox was damaged in the 2200 block of 19th Street.

11/24 10:12 a.m. A man parked in a van at the veterans clinic on Blankenship Road looked “shocked” when he saw another person there.

11/25 12:39 p.m. A “crazy driver” was recklessly weaving in and out of traffic and tailgating other drivers before zipping down Highway 43.

11/25 1:01 p.m. Police assisted with a possible fire in the 1700 block of 19th Street.

11/26 6:17 a.m. A van repeatedly shows up three to four times a week in the 1900 block of Eighth Avenue, staying for about 30 minutes and then leaving.

11/26 6:45 a.m. A criminal mischief maker smashed a large pot all over the 5700 block of Broadway Street.

11/26 11:36 a.m. A house, car and mailbox in the 1100 block of Bexhill Street were egged.

11/26 12:42 p.m. A man wearing huge shoes heedlessly walked into traffic near Mark Lane and Willamette Drive.

11/26 10:25 p.m. Plastic wrap was stretched across sections of West A Street and Cornwall Street.

11/27 2:46 a.m. There is an ongoing reek in the 2300 block of Dillow Drive.

11/27 9:23 a.m. A screwdriver was found by a damaged door in the 1800 block of Radcliffe Court.

11/27 9:31 a.m. A letter declaring a man’s love for his wife dated back in February was found torn in half at Willamette Park.

11/27 2:30 p.m. Teens were seen smoking pot at the skate park on Parker Road.

11/27 4:36 p.m. A woman was upset a tree branch the diameter of a pencil was cut off her tree in the 5800 block of West A Street.

11/27 6:20 p.m. A suspicious teen sitting outside of Bolton Primary School was just waiting for a ride.

11/28 6:21 p.m. A transient-looking person was seen pulling up freshly planted trees near the I-205 overpass and Sunset Avenue.

11/29 5:40 p.m. A suspicious man with a gas can asking for gas in the 4600 block of Elmran Drive really was out of gas.

11/29 6:06 p.m. A man with a backpack in the 20300 block of Willamette Drive had permission to camp on church property for a night.

11/29 10:39 p.m. Kids were running around the 2300 block of Carriage Way ringing doorbells.

11/30 2:12 a.m. Two gunshots and screeching tires were heard near Holly Street and Willamette Drive.

11/30 6:30 p.m. A grinch in the 1100 block of Blankenship Road found outdoor speakers blasting Christmas music disruptive.

11/30 8:49 p.m. Vehicles near Ponderay Drive and Salamo Road were being pelted with eggs.

12/1 12:26 a.m. Men were being “loud and obnoxious” in the 19300 block of Robin Circle.

12/1 1:42 p.m. Three loud booms were heard near Cedaroak and Willamette drives.

ANIMAL ANTICS

11/16 9:12 a.m. An injured squirrel was reported near Bland Circle and Salamo Road.

11/22 5:28 p.m. A woman in the 1300 block of Buck Street is getting sick and tired of a neighbor allowing his dog to run into her yard and defecate. This happens on a daily basis.

11/23 12:30 a.m. A chihuahua keeps running in and out of a house in the 800 block of Nicole Court, and it’s nonstop barking is bothersome.
