Bulldog girls soccer remains unbeaten

Woodburn High School junior Maria Ramirez sends a ball toward the North Salem goal in the Bulldogs’ 8-0 victory over the visiting Vikings on Wednesday. Woodburn scored all eight goals in the first half of the victory before traveling to Roosevelt two days later to beat the Roughriders 4-0. The shutouts were the first back-to-back games holding opponents scoreless since the Bulldogs won 7-0 over Madison and 12-0 over McKay in the first week of the 2011 season. Woodburn (3-0) is hoping to keep its unbeaten streak alive in road games against Glencoe Tuesday and St. Helens Thursday.
