Woodburn author publishes third novel
Woodburn resident Suzanne Lewallen has published her third novel and will be doing a book signing in Aurora next month.
Doctored Truffles by Suzanne Grant, Lewallens pen name, takes place on the Oregon Coast and is a mystery novel laced with romance and a peek at Portlands tawdry early days. Its a murder mystery that surrounds Polly Morton, whose husband has mysteriously died after a beautifully packaged box of chocolate truffles appeared on their doorstep.
The book signing will be at Heirloom Revival Co., 14936 Third St., Aurora, from 7 to 9 p.m. Sept. 5.
Aurora was actually the setting for Grants first novel, The Blue Bucket, which was published in 2012. Last year, she published Tattered Lace, which takes place in Central Oregon. That book was selected as one of four finalists in the General Fiction/Novel category in the 2013 Next Generation Indie Book Awards and was an honorable mention award at the Southern California Book Festival.
All three of Lewallens books take place in Oregon in the modern day, but are mysteries with historical references woven in.
Lewallens books are available in paperback through most book retailers and at Amazon. E-book editions are available through Amazon and Smashwords.
