Tulip photo contest winners announced

This year’s 2013 Canon “Catch the Color” photo contest at the Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm has been released.by: JEFFREY MCNEILL - This photo won the grand prize in the 'Catch the Color' photo contest this year. The grand prize winner, Jeffrey McNeill of Salem, has received a CanonT5i DSLR camera and lens kit. His photo depicts a model, Porshe Murphy of Salem, enveloped in colorful fabric with the tulip field serving as a backdrop. “A model friend of mine agreed to try something new for me,” McNeill said. “I went to Goodwill and purchased some red material and draped her in it. I wanted to have it look like she was another beautiful flower in a field of flowers.” The photo was shot with a Nikon D90 and a 18-105mm lens, with settings: ISO 100, 18mm, F/5 at 1/125th of a second. “I am honored to have won,” McNeill said. First, second and third place prizes were also awarded in the following categories: catch all, flowers, landscape & field, details & macro. First place winners received $100 gift cards, second place winners received $50 gift cards, and third place winners received $25 gift cards. The other winners are:
