Woodburn chamber seeks board nominations
The Woodburn Area Chamber of Commerce has four open positions on its board.
Chamber member businesses have until noon Dec. 13 to vote for their board. Two names have been submitted for consideration: Stephanie Wells, of Hallmark Properties, and Joe Egli, of Brown Insurance. Chamber members are welcome to submit additional nominations.
Voting is for three-year terms starting Jan. 1.
Board members are expected or encouraged to:
• attend at least three-fourths of the 12 regular board meetings (held the third Wednesday of each month from 7:30 to 9 a.m.).
• help shape the next steps of a growing business association by getting involved. A time commitment of at least 1.5 hours for monthly meetings, as well as committee work and chamber member-hosted events.
• participate on one chamber committee according to needs of the chamber and interests/skills of the individual. Committees include: budget and finance, marketing and communications, events and sponsorship, membership, elections, and tourism.
• to meet with chamber members. Conversations can lead to new ideas, partnerships and investments, helping grow member businesses and extending WACC's influence throughout the business community.
