The public is invited to attend a meeting at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 16 at the Woodburn Health Center to discuss the viability of building a community center in Woodburn.
Last month, the Woodburn City Council approved a plan to update the community center feasibility study, which was completed in 2008. The plan recommended that the city consider expanding the Woodburn Aquatic Center to include active recreation spaces, such as a gymnasium, fitness center, classrooms, spaces for youth, adult and senior programs and expanded locker rooms.
The Feb. 16 meeting, which is hosted by a group of interested community members, is the first of a series of opportunities for residents to provide input into the concept.
Woodburn Health Center is located at 1475 Mount Hood Ave.
