Police and psychiatric board seek public's help in locating escaped man

SUBMITTED - Scott MooreWoodburn police and the Psychiatric Security Review Board are seeking the public's help in locating a man who walked away from a residential treatment facility Monday.

Daniel Scott Moore, who has lived in Marion County for several years, was last seen in the Woodburn area after walking away from the facility at 10 p.m. Monday.

He is Caucasian, 5-feet-10, and weighs about 236 pounds. He has thinning, dark brown hair and blue eyes, a beard and a number of tattoos on his chest, arms and right shoulder. When last seen, he was wearing blue jeans, white tennis shoes, a blue coat that reaches below his waist, a blue knit cap and small, round glasses. He could also be wearing a brown knit scarf. According to a press release, he is known to frequent local coffee shops, Walmart and Goodwill. He may be frequenting places that serve the homeless population or locations where the homeless population congregates. Moore may appear confused and disoriented. He is currently not considered dangerous, but is in need of immediate medical care.

Anyone who sees Moore or has other information regarding his whereabouts is asked to call 911 immediately.
