Police seek help in finding armed robber


A masked man robbed Woodburn's 7-Eleven at gunpoint early New Year's Day

COURTESY WOODBURN POLICE DEPARTMENT - This video footage from Woodburn 7-Eleven shows a masked gunman robbing the store in the early hours of Jan. 1.Woodburn police are seeking the public's help in finding a suspect involved in an armed robbery.

At 12:12 a.m. Jan. 1, a masked man reportedly walked into the Woodburn 7-Eleven, 893 N. Pacific Highway, brandishing a handgun and demanding money from the till. After taking an undisclosed amount of money the suspect fled the store. He was last seen running on foot from the store westbound on East Lincoln Street in Woodburn. Police officers arrived shortly afterward but were unable to locate the suspect, even with the deployment of its K-9 unit.

The suspect wore a full face mask, black in color and was dressed in all black clothing, including black gloves. The suspect was described as a white male adult, approximately 6 feet tall with thin-to-medium build.
