Woodburn teen driver admits alcohol caused crash
An 18-year-old Woodburn man has been charged with DUII, reckless endangerment and assault IV after his truck carrying four passengers flipped over near Molalla Saturday.
Police with the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office report that the Chevrolet truck was traveling at a high rate of speed on South Palmer Road, south of Molalla, in the early evening Saturday. The truck driven by Karnily Bodunov, 18, of Woodburn, went over the crest of a hill and flipped over, landing upside down in a field by the road.
Budonov suffered head injuries and was LifeFlighted to a Portland are hospital. The charges, including DUII, were handed down after he admitted to drinking alcohol and after a DUII investigation was conducted.
The other four passengers had minor injuries and also admitted to consuming alcohol. One passenger was treated at an area hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
