Police have arrested a Woodburn man for allegedly stealing metal flower pots and 300 feet of fencing from Belle Passi Cemetery.
Randall Kuschnick, 42, of Woodburn, has been charged with theft I after the cemetery caretaker discovered missing items between June 13 and 20. According to police, the caretaker searched local scrap yards and after he found flower pots, he called police to investigate.
Deputies from Marion County Sheriff's Office used recycling records to locate and arrest Kuschnick.
"You would think after 13 years of law enforcement that the shock factor would be gone, but that certainly was not the case (here)," Sgt. Chris Baldridge, MCSO public information officer.
Kuschnick was cited and released. He is scheduled to appear in Marion County Circuit Court July 25.
