The Woodburn Fire District will be starting the next CERT class on March 10.
The classes will give the participants the necessary basic skills to help themselves and those in their community in the event of a disaster.
The classes run Mondays from March 10 to April 14 at 6 p.m. and each class will run about three hours. The class will wrap up April 19 (a Saturday) with a disaster simulation and final exam. All classes will be held at the Woodburn Fire District Headquarters, 1776 Newberg Highway.
Classes will cover disaster preparedness, search and rescue, medical operations and fire safety, among other topics.
