Chamber office manager settles in


Riley Buck joined the Woodburn Area Chamber of Commerce as the new office assistant on Dec. 3, 2013 and plans to deliver consistent customer service to each member.

Buck, born and raised in Woodburn, has a Bachelor of Science in psychology from Western Oregon University and enjoys focusing his attention to detail in his work. He looks forward to immersing himself in his hometown, while expanding his network of business leaders.

“Coming in to the position, I knew I had a lot to learn in a short period of time, while also juggling two other jobs,” he said. “Though I was in a steep learning curve, I was really encouraged by the support of the previous staff and was warmly welcomed by the community.”

Buck is also currently employed by Flomer Furniture & Appliance as an office and delivery assistant and is a local barista at Starbucks.

“Riley Buck is a personable and ambitious young man who asserts himself in all tasks assigned. He easily works with little or no supervision and learns very quickly,” said Bob Rhoades, former president of the chamber. “He is experienced in customer service and interacts well with the public.”

Buck mentioned his appreciation for the chamber’s personable mannerism and hopes to continue to have the welcoming approach of his predecessor. Buck has taken over the position after Rhonda Judson retired from being office assistant last month.
