As part of an annual project, the Woodburn Rotary Club donated 624 dictionaries to area schools last Thursday.by: EVAN THOMAS - Students in Wendy Murray's fourth-grade class at Heritage Elementary School in Woodburn show off their new dictionaries, which were donated to all local fourth-graders by Woodburn Rotary members on Thursday.

Rotarians delivered copies of “Webster’s Dictionary for Students” to fourth-graders at eight area schools: Washington Elementary, Heritage Elementary, Nellie Muir Elementary, Lincoln Elementary, Arthur Academy, St. Luke Catholic School, Sacred Heart Catholic School and North Marion Intermediate School.

“The class of 14 kids at St. Luke was very appreciative,” said Woodburn Rotary President Evan Thomas. “The teacher, Mary Sue Haener, told her class about how much last year’s fourth-graders benefited from using Rotary dictionaries in the classroom.”
