Gervais looks to hire executive by April
The Gervais School Board is moving forward with its plan for a superintendent search, with a candidate hopefully ready to hire by April.
The board has hired Greg McKenzie of Window to Leadership, LLC, to handle a regional search throughout the Northwest for a new executive, after Superintendent Rick Hensel announced he is resigning June 30.
At a special board meeting Nov. 18, the board approved the hiring of McKenzie for the executive search as well as a timeline, which has the advertisement for the position going out in January, the narrowing down of candidates by March, and a selection made by April. The new superintendent would start July 1.
At the Nov. 18 meeting, McKenzie proposed a fee of $7,500 plus expenses for his services.
