Suspect sought in Guacamole Market robbery
Woodburn police are looking for a light-skinned adult male who robbed Guacamole Market, located in the 1300 block of North Pacific Highway, on Friday evening around 9:40 p.m.
It was the second armed robbery of the week in Woodburn, although city officials say there is no known connection between the two incidents.
The suspect entered the store armed with a black semi-automatic handgun and took money out of the register, according to a report from WPD. He made no verbal threats or any other communication. The suspect exited the store and headed south. A K9 search was conducted but officers were unable to locate the suspect.
The suspect was wearing dark jeans, a gray hooded sweatshirt and a black and white bandanna around his face.
On Monday, a man had pulled a gun on a cashier at Taqueria Los Laureles, located in the 600 block of North Pacific Highway, and also made off with an unspecified amount of cash. An image of the man was caught on video surveillance.
The Woodburn Police Department is asking for anyone to come forward with information regarding the possible identity of any suspect involved in these robberies by calling 503-982-2345.
