WPD releases photos of armed robbery suspect

by: WOODBURN POLICE DEPARTMENT - The Woodburn Police Department released surveillance photos of a man who allegedly stole $3,496 from Casa Mexico July 19. Woodburn Police Department released grainy images Wednesday of a man suspected of robbing Casa Mexico July 19 with a gun.

The suspect, described as a light-skinned Hispanic male, about 5’6” to 5’8” with a medium build, and wearing dark clothing, was last seen fleeing the retail and money services store on foot.

He allegedly stole $3,496 from Casa Mexico, Michael Elias, owner, said after the robbery.

“They’re at the point where they’re asking the public’s help and that’s why they are releasing the photos to help identify the suspect,” said Jason Horton, spokesman for the city.
