Timberwolves win in conference softball opener
Tualatin gets a 7-3 victory at Forest Grove on Monday
The Tualatin High School softball team got off to a winning start in Pacific Conference play, as it posted a 7-3 victory over Forest Grove in a conference opener held Monday at Forest Grove High School.
Junior Emily Sorem pitched the distance for the Timberwolves in the victory. Junior Alexa Kaplan had the key hit in the contest with a three-run double. Junior Nikki Miller and sophomroe Hannah Self also each had a strong day at the plate.
With the win, the Wolves improved to 9-3 on the season. Tualatin was scheduled to host Hillsboro in a conference game on Wednesday. Results of that game weren't available when The Times went to press.
The Wolves will be back in action Friday when they travel to McMinnville for a 5 p.m. conference game. On Monday, Tualatin will be home to face Century at 5 p.m.
