The Hawks will host Harrisburg in playoff game Saturday

TUALATIN — The Horizon Christian High School boys basketball is one win away from another trip the Class 3A state tournament.

The Hawks will be looking to earn their seventh-straight berth to the Class 3A tourney when they host Harrisburg in a Class 3A state playoff game Saturday, starting at 6 p.m. at Horizon Christian High School.

Harrisburg, the No. 3 team out of the PacWest Conference, has an overall record of 17-7.

Horizon Christian, the West Valley League regular-season champion and league tourney runner-up, is 19-6 on the season.

The winner of Saturday's game at Horizon will face either Blanchet Catholic or Dayton in a Class 3A state tournament quarterfinal game, which will be played Thursday, starting at 3:15 p.m. at Marshfield High School in Coos Bay.

The Hawks finished play at the West Valley League playoffs with a 43-37 loss to Amity in a game played Saturday at Central High School.

Westside Christian lost 64-55 to Dayton in a WVL playoff game held Saturday at Central. The setback gave the Eagles a final overall record of 13-13.

The Westside Christian girls lost 59-26 at Dayton in a WVL playoff game last Thursday. The Westside girls finished the season with a final record of 11-13.
