Sun Run benefits Police Activities League, HomePlate

This year, the run raised about $10,000 for the Beaverton Police Activities League and HomePlate Youth Services. Fundraising-oriented runners recently hit the streets for the second annual Beaverton Rotary Sun Run on July 27.

The event included 5K, 10K and “Kids’ Dash” events to accommodate ultra-competitive runners, walkers and everyone in between.
