Inexperience and carelessness were behind a car accident Wednesday afternoon that caused minor injury and property damage at a car dealership, Tualatin Police say.
An employee of Diamond Auto Sales, 18435 S.W. Pacific Highway, suffered non-life-threatening injuries when a 20-year-old female driver improperly navigated her red 1999 Toyota Corolla sedan into the business' parking lot, striking an office. The employee was transported to OHSU for treatment.
Police say neither the motorist nor her passenger was injured.
Law enforcement responded to the crash at about 1 p.m. and found the motorist had only a driver's instruction permit. She was cited for careless driving, and Tualatin Police say they do not believe she was impaired by drugs or alcohol.
