Sherwood officer placed on leave
The Sherwood Police Department has placed one of its officers on administrative leave while his wife is investigated for sex abuse.
Adam Keesee will remain on leave during the investigation against his wife Denise Keesee.
Denise Keesee, a former Sherwood High School teacher turned herself into Washington County Jail on Monday, nearly six months after sheriffs detectives began an investigation into allegations that she had an inappropriate sexual relationship with at least one male student.
Keesee is accused of having sexual relationships with at least two of her male students. The relationships occurred in 2006 and 2012, authorities say. She faces six counts of second-degree sex abuse, four from one victim and two from the other, according to Paul Maloney, a deputy district attorney with the Washington County Sheriffs Office.
Adam Keesee served as school resource officer at Sherwood High until his wife was placed on leave, Washington County Sheriffs detectives said that his presence at the school likely delayed some students from reporting any incidents involving his wife.
Adam Keesee was reassigned to patrol after his wife was placed on leave.
Sherwood Police declined to comment any further on Adam Keesees leave.
