We take care of your winter worries
Snow, ice and power outages!
Aren't we glad that's over? This brings to mind safety and emergencies and the struggles they can cause for seniors who live alone.
At Woodland Heights, our emergency generators kicked in when high winds and ice snapped power lines. Our staff, with tire chains and 4-wheel-drives, got others to work safely. Some stayed overnight at the building to assure we'd have staff here the next morning. We shoveled snow to be sure our parking lot was safe. Many of us wore "different hats," literally, until the weather cleared.
Safety is the main reason folks choose to move to Woodland Heights. No matter what happens, you have staff available every minute of every day to help you when the unpredictable happens.
We recently installed a new, state-of-the-art emergency call system which is accessible anywhere in our building. If you need our help, it locates you and we're on our way.
If you're ill, we'll check on you several times a day until you are well again. We'll bring food to your room; we'll take you to your doctor.
Many of our residents remain very independent, but they tell us they love the peace of mind of knowing we are always here, no matter what the problem.
As you look forward to spring, remember the wintry days. Our residents don't have to shovel snow, worry about getting to the grocery store or whether their families will be able to come help them.
We're here to help.
