In-home care agency costs less than you may think

COMFORCARE - Marissa PhillipsSeniors who have difficulty with such tasks as daily living, self-care and medication management may need a little help – or a lot.

Employing a home care agency is a great choice because it’s easily adjusted to meet a client’s needs.

A licensed home care agency such as ComForCare hires employees, not independent contractors. We do background and reference checks, training and continuing education.

Following an assessment of client needs, our employees provide needed services from a long menu, including medication, safety supervision, light housekeeping and laundry, meal preparation, bathing and dressing, incontinence care, transportation and companionship. Caregivers are trained to care for those with dementia.

Home care is generally less expensive than other care options. Nursing home costs may range from about $200-$250 each day for a basic room and care, adding up to about $5,600 to $7,000 a month. Assisted living facilities may cost about $3,300 per month for a one-bedroom unit.

Home care costs can vary considerably depending on the intensity of the client’s needs, but usually remain considerably lower than these options.

While in-home elder care is a significant investment, there are several payment options and funding sources that can help ease the financial burden. We can connect you with resources and programs which may help you.

Together, we can come up with a plan of care and hours that are not only affordable but ensures that your loved one receives the best home care possible!
