New location Perfect for local buzz

Barbershop a family friendly haircut spot with complementary beverages

On Aug. 13, 2013, the Local Buzz found a new spot for its home. The barbershop is now located at 37061 Highway 26 in the same parking lot as

Sandy Bi-Mart and Clackamas Federal Credit Union.

Previously located on Proctor Boulevard between Sandy Chain Saw and Rapid Fire Arms, the Local Buzz is owned by Tiffany Baker and her husband, Grant.

Baker said they are enjoying their new space.

“It’s got great parking and great window exposure,” Baker said. “It’s perfect.”

Since relocating, the Local Buzz has expanded its hours to include Sundays and Mondays.

It offers a complimentary beverage with every haircut. For those over 21, the barbershop has local beer on tap. But the Local Buzz not only caters to adults in need of a trim, its kids’ chairs also bring in a younger crowd. For those customers, the Local Buzz offers root beer and juice. Baker says that they hope to offer root beer on tap in the future. by: POST PHOTO: KYLIE WRAY - The Local Buzz offers kids chairs to make the haircut experience easier for their youngest clients.

The Local Buzz is walk-in only and does not accept appointments. Baker said there are two barbers working everyday to keep the wait as short as possible.

The Local Buzz offers a military discount.

Although they are not a women’s salon, the Local Buzz will cut women’s hair, but it does not have a shampoo sink.

“We try to keep it like an old school barbershop with a new twist,” Baker said.
