Red Cross to aid victims of Boring residential fire
Eight residents were absent and unharmed after a house fire at 11939 S.E. 312th Drive in Boring on Wednesday, Aug. 9. Earlier reports say firefighters were at the scene and actively extinguishing the flames at around 3:20 p.m., and had put it out soon after, but the structure is now uninhabitable.
Investigators have yet to determine a cause for the fire.
The Red Cross in Oregon and Southwest Washington has responded to aid the multiple families and their three pets after their losses. The Red Cross has already put the families in touch with resources to find temporary housing, obtain basic care items and essentials and seek mental and health services if needed.
On average, The Red Cross in Oregon and Southwest Washington provides aid for three families every day, and encourages all to practice emergency preparedness.
