Longtime banker leaves Clackamas County Bank

Tom Keen, who has worked at Clackamas County Bank for 26 years, is retiring.

Keen, chief credit officer for the bank, will leave June 30.

His coworkers call him the human calculator because he can crunch numbers in his head at the drop of a hat.

Keen said that working for the Sandy bank has been a wonderful experience. His first banking job was at a corporate bank.

“I was in upper middle management,” he said. “Even there, you’re still just a number.”

For him, working for the family-owned bank was a big difference.

Keen said he’s been doing this for so long that when he’s done he will probably sleep the first three years.
