Council awards contract for parking signs

The City Council has decided to award the contracts for creating signs for parking restrictions in downtown Sandy to Zumar Industries of Tacoma Wash. It will produce the metal signs; Traffic Safety Supply, of Portland, will supply the posts; and Sawcutters NW of Boring, will drill the holes.

The contracts will total $6,343.75. Sandy’s Public Works department will assemble and install the signs.

“It’s nice to see our work is finally going to bear some fruit,” Councilwoman Lois Coleman said.

The council approved the contracts unanimously.
