by: MIKE JULIANA PHOTOGRAPHY - RACING ROSS -- Sherwood's Kenny Ross heads down the course during Saturday's Three Rivers League slalom race. MT. HOOD — A pair of local competitors fared well in the Three Rivers League boys slalom ski event held Saturday at Mt. Hood Meadows Easy Rider course.

Tualatin's Ben Juliana finished in 24th place in the individual standings for the race with a two-run total time of 1 minute, 17.61 seconds.

Sherwood's Kenny Ross raced to 27th place with a mark of 1:21.45.

West Linn's Trevor Maxwell finished in first place in the individual standings with a time of 55.53.

Maxwell also helped the West Linn boys take first place in the team standings for the race.

The West Linn girls also had a first-place finish in the team standings.

The next Three Rivers League race will be another slalom event, to be held Saturday at Mt. Hood Meadows.
