Here comes the snow again: Beaverton, Tigard-Tualatin schools among evening closures

UPDATE: The Beaverton School District has canceled Wednesday classes as National Weather Service forecasters predict up to half a foot of snow.

As temperatures dropped below freezing Tuesday evening and snow began sticking to roadways, several school districts announced closures and several bus routes stopped service in Washington County.

The Beaverton School District announced just before 9:30 p.m. that it was canceling classes Wednesday, followed by the West Linn-Wilsonville School District. Other districts, including the Tigard-Tualatin and Sherwood school districts, canceled evening activities Tuesday as snow began to fall but have yet to announce whether they will have class tomorrow.

Portland Public Schools, the Lake Oswego School District and the Scappoose School District, among other public school districts in the area, also announced Wednesday closures.
