“We are thrilled to have Sandi Miller join our team,” said Superintendent Heather Cordie. “She is a knowledgeable, customer-service- oriented transportation leader who prioritizes student safety and believes the bus should be an extension of the classroom.”

Miller comes from the Eugene School District, where she has served as the transportation supervisor for the special needs department since 2013. Prior to her role in Eugene, Miller was the driver development coordinator (2012-2013) and driver trainer (2012) in the Greater Albany Public Schools.

Her experience in transportation began with the Greater Albany Public Schools in 2003, as a school bus driver, taking on increased responsibilities with her career growth.

In addition to over 13 years of experience transporting students, Miller served as both president and vice president of the South Willamette chapter of the Oregon Pupil Transportation Association.

“I am so excited to join the outstanding team at Sherwood School District,” said Miller. “A student's bus ride is such an important part of their school experience, and I look forward to uniting with the staff at the transportation department to provide the students of Sherwood safe, enjoyable, and reliable transportation.”

She begins her new duties in January.
