The new space is expected to open in March, city officials say
The city of Sherwood has selected a restaurant/brewery to fill retail space at the Sherwood Center for the Arts.
Smockville Brew House, containing a restaurant and on-site brewery, has announced it will locate in a 3,000-square-foot space in the center, Assistant City Manager Tom Pessemier announced during a Sherwood City Council meeting Tuesday night.
The 15,000-square-foot arts center opened at the end of February 2015 with plans of leasing 3,000 square feet earmarked for retail or office space. Money raised from leasing the space will go into offsetting operating expenses of the center.
