Wilsonville Toyota donates car to police chaplain for one year

Wilson Parrish is the recipient of the vehicle

The Sherwood Police Department will unveil the new leased vehicle donated to Sherwood Police Chaplain Wilson Parrish by Wilsonville Toyota on Tuesday, April 22 at 2 p.m.

The police department is located at 20495 S.W. Borchers Drive.

Dave Jachter, owner of Wilsonville Toyota, will present the Toyota Camry for Parrish’s use.

In addition to Jachter, those also attending the event will include Chaplain Parrish, Police Chief Jeff Groth, Captain Ty Hanlon and Sherwood City Manager Joe Gall.

Parrish contacted five local car dealerships expressing his need for a dependable vehicle to answer the many calls he must respond to. Jachter was the only one to get back to the chaplain.

Jachter agreed to donate the vehicle on a one-year lease to the department. The car has been wrapped with graphics courtesy of PDX Wraps of Sherwood.
