Car flips, lands in Pine Street front yard

The driver, who wasnt impaired, was cited for reckless driving


by: RAY PITZ - this wa the scene on Pine Street Monday afternoon after a car headed uphill overcorrected and ended up in the front yard of a home on the opposite side of the street. A 20-year-old man escaped injury Tuesday afternoon after the pickup he was driving flipped over on Pine Street.

The incident occurred in the 22000 block of Pine Street when the driver, whose name was not immediately available, was heading uphill following friends, lost control, over corrected and jumped the opposite curb, according to Capt. Ty Hanlon, a spokesman for the Sherwood Police Department.

The truck flipped completely before coming to rest in the front yard of a home.

Hanlon said the driver, who wasn’t impaired, was cited for reckless driving.
