The three-hour work session will run from 6 to 9 p.m.
The Sherwood City Council will hold a special work and listening session on Wednesday to hear comments regarding the new Sherwood Walmart.
The meeting runs from 6 to 9 p.m. at Sherwood City Hall, 22560 S.W. Pine St.
The three-hour session is in response to those who wanted to comment more fully following last Tuesdays Sherwood City Council meeting.
That meeting, where the budget was also approved, attracted 135 residents, according to one resident who counted the crowd.
At the meeting, Jennifer Harris, president of the Sherwood Community Action Committee, presented the council with 800 petitions in support of ordinances that would tighten up what new retailers can and cant do if they decide to locate in Sherwood. Those petitions are in addition to another 700 that already have been sent to the council, said Harris.
The council is considering implementing several ordinances. Among those theyve asked city staff to review are limiting hours of operation and banning overnight parking at big-box establishments.
