Crime Stoppers featured case 14-02: residential attempted burglary

COLLINS VIEW — Portland Police Bureau burglary detectives, in cooperation with Crime Stoppers of Oregon, are asking for the public's help in identifying a residential attempted burglary suspect.by: COURTESY OF PORTLAND POLICE BUREAU - The burglary suspect.

On Dec. 3, at approximately 9:45 a.m., Central Precinct officers responded to a residence in the area of Southwest Terwilliger Boulevard and Lobelia Street on the report of an attempted burglary in progress.

Officers arrived and contacted the victim who told police the suspect did not make entry into the home and ran away before police arrived. The victim thought the suspect might have left the area in a vehicle, described as a Honda Accord two-door.

The suspect is described as a white male in his late 30s or early 40s, 5 feet 7 inches tall, thin build, red hair in a crew cut and a red mustache.

A forensic sketch of the suspect is being released to the public to assist with identification.

Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information, reported to Crime Stoppers, which leads to an arrest in this case or any unsolved felony, and tipsters can remain anonymous.
