Clackamas County Sheriff's deputies arrived on the scene to discover it was not a traffic accident, but was a farm machinery accident.

Acording to a Clackamas County Sheriff's Office report, the berry harvester was backing up in an effort to line up on a row of berries when either a hose or a fitting broke and the machine lost its hydraulic fluid, which caused the brakes to fail.

Because the wreck was determined to be an industrial accident, the Sheriff's Office has handed the investigation over to Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
