Police seek woman as suspect in two armed robberies

North Precinct officers are looking for a woman suspected in two armed robberies early Saturday.

Officers responded to reports of a robbery at a Shell Gas Station at 15 NE Broadway at 5:14 a.m., according to police. They established a perimeter to contain the suspect. Soon after, while waiting for a K-9 unit to arrive, a second robbery was reported at the Plaid Pantry at 2010 N. Killingsworth Street.

There were no injuries in either robbery.

The description of the suspect in both robberies was nearly identical, police said.

The suspect is described as an African American female in her early 20s, shorter than 5 feet 5 inches in height and with a stocky build. She is described as wearing, at the time of the robberies, a tan baseball cap, a dark-colored tank top with a bright print pattern, lycra-style neon shorts and flip flops.

She was reportedly armed with a handgun.

Anyone with information about these robberies is asked to call the Robbery Detail at (503) 823-0405.
