Fire damages historic SE Portland hotel
Firefighters responded to a two-alarm fire in a historic inner Southeast Portland hotel Friday morning.
The Osborn Hotel at South Grand and Ash Street is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Firefighters responded there shortly before 6:30 a.m. at witnesses reported hearing several explosions in the building, which caught fire.
Streets around the hotel were closed as firefighters battled the blaze, including both Grand and Southeast Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. Portland Streetcar and TriMet bus service was also disrupted.
