Have you ever wanted to see the inside of Clackamas County Jail — without getting arrested?

Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office is taking Twitter followers on a virtual ride-along today, complete with pictures and brief Vine videos of holding cells, command stations and something called the “Weekender Tank.”

The Twitter feed also lists interesting facts about the jail. For example, did you know that the original Oregon City jail was the first public structure west of the Rocky Mountains when it was built in 1845? (Read more at:

Also, the jail’s medical center sees around 4,600 inmates per month.
