Oregon State Police released Wednesday the name of the man who seriously injured in a Tuesday afternoon crash on his motorcycle on Highway 211 at Hayden Road south of Estacada.

by: OSP - Pictured is the scene of the crash seriously injuring a motorcyclist from Beavercreek. On July 15, at approximately 4:20 p.m., 59-year-old John W. Groener was heading south on 211 on his 2008 Harley Davidson motorcycle. According to the police report, the Beavercreek resident then hit a northbound 2013 Kia Soul four-door turning left toward Hayden Road into the Kia's passenger side, ejecting Groener from the motorcycle onto the highway.

He was transported by American Medical Response ambulance to Oregon Health & Science University, and he was wearing a helmet.

The Kia's driver, Tara R. Joyce, 20, from Portland, and three passengers were also transported by ground ambulance to area hospitals. Their injuries were non-life threatening and considered minor to serious. One of the passengers, 38-year-old Portlander Danny D. Manjeot, was treated and then taken to Clackamas County Jail on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant charging failure to appear in court for driving under the influence of intoxicants.

Joyce is reportedly cooperating with the investigation, and police have not taken any enforcement action against her at this time. OSP was assisted at the scene by fire and paramedics from Estacada, Molalla, Colton, Sandy and Clackamas County fire departments, officers from Clackamas County Sheriff's Office and Sandy Police Department and ODOT. A detour, which was in place while the highway was under investigation, has now been cleared.
