Man critically stabbed outside bar
Police are investigating a Sunday night stabbing outide a Northeast Portland bar that left a man in critical condition.
The name of the victim as not immediately available.
The suspect, who fled the scene before police arrived, is described as an African American male in his 40s, 5'8" tall, 175 to 195 pounds, and "nicely dressed."
According to police, at 10:58 p.m. on June 15, East Precinct officers responded to Pappy's Bar & Grill, located at 1144 Northeast 82nd Avenue, on the report of a fight and one person bleeding.
When officers and medical personnel arrived, they ocated the victim, a male in his 30s, down in the parking lot behind the building. He was suffering from stab wound and was transported to a Portland hospital for treatment.
The seriousness of the victim's injuries were not known until he reached the hospital where it was determined that his injuries may be life-threatening. The victim remains in critical condition at the hospital.
Officers learned that the victim and suspect may know each other and that they got into a fight in the parking lot. During the fight, the suspect stabbed the victim then fled the scene on foot.
