North Clackamas Christian School vandals caught
Staff and students arrived Thursday morning to North Clackamas Christian School dismayed by smashed windows, spilled paint on playground equipment and ransacked seventh-grade students lockers.
By the end of the day with help from tipsters, Oregon City police said they caught three suspects who caused significant damage to the school at 19575 Sebastian Way. Police said they wouldnt release the names of the boys allegedly involved, although they werent NCCS students who got into the locked gated area of the school courtyard after 9 p.m. April 2.
NCCS Principal Wayne Lindsey said his students recognized photos as students who live in the area. Lindsey forwarded the video of the suspected vandals to police before the juveniles tried cutting the wires on some of the cameras.
We got some really good video, and they were here for about an hour before they realized there were cameras outside, Lindsey said. Were hoping that maybe these guys will think twice before doing it again.
OCPD Officer Tanner Crivellone said the department was greatly appreciative of all the tips from the public in apprehending the juvenile suspects. Crivellone estimated damages to be thousands of dollars, making the crime a felony.
