A woman has been arrested for allegedly stabbing her boyfriend over drugs.
The names of the suspect and the victim have not been released. The victim was transported to a Portland hospital with what is believed to be a non-life-threatening injury.
According to police, at 6:45 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 19, East Precinct officers responded to the area of Southeast 127th Avenue and Market Street on the report of a stabbing.
Officers arrived in the area and located the victim and suspect nearby. The victim, a male adult, was suffering from a stab wound to the side.
The suspect, a female adult, was taken into custody without incident. Preliminary information indicates that the couple argued over drugs resulting in the stabbing.
Investigators from the Domestic Violence Reduction Unit and criminalists from the Forensic Evidence Division have responded to continue the investigation.
