A water main break shut down a portion of Northeast 92nd Avenue on Monday.
According to the Portland Water Bureau, a maintenance crew responded to a report of water seeping through the pavement on 92nd between Hill Way and Russell Place around noon.
A Portland Water Bureau maintenance crew is on the scene of a main break on NE 92nd Avenue, between NE Hill Way and NE Russell Place. They discovered a cracked 62-year old 8-inch cast iron pipe was causing water to flow into the street and nearby catch basins.
Water was temporarily shut off to about 25 houses for the main to be repaired. Work is expected to last into the evening hours. Traffic on 92nd will be flagged until repairs are complete.
