Police identify Friday crime victims

Portland police identified Friday crime victims in the afernoon.

According to police, Homicide Division and Gang Enforcement Team detectives are continuing to investigate two separate shooting incidents that occurred early Friday morning in Southeast Portland.

Friday morning's homicide victim was identified as Precious Antanaye Jackson, 24. The Oregon State Medical Examiner will conduct an autopsy to determine the exact cause of her death.

Homicide detectives are asking for the public's help to recover any discarded clothing, particularly jackets or hoodies, in the area of Gilbert Heights City Park. The park is located at Southeast 127th Avenue and Boise Street and is where the vehicle that eluded officers crashed. Three to four African American males fled from the car into the neighborhood.

Police say the gunshot victim that arrived at Legacy Emanuel Medical Center has been identified as Jeray Lashawn Jessie, 23, a known gang associate. He was not cooperative with Gang Enforcement Team detectives but it is believed that he may have been involved in the shooting on the I-205 southbound off-ramp at Southeast Division Street. There is no suspect information on the shooting.

Detectives do not believe that the two shootings are related.

The patient that arrived at Portland Adventist Medical Center with a gunshot wound is also not related to any of the incidents and may be a self-inflicted injury.
