Police: Man wounded in gang shooting


Police are investigating a Thursday night gang-related shooting in Southeast Portland.

Tyrone Dwayne Warren, 25, was hospitalized a with non-life-threatening wound to his leg.

No suspect information was immediately released.

According to police, at 10:43 p.m. on Aug. 8, East Precinct officers responded to the report of a shooting in the 17200 block of Southeast Division Street.

Officers and medical personnel arrived and located the male victim. He was transported to a Portland hospital for treatment.

Preliminary information to police indicates that the shooting occurred in the 2400 block of Southeast 152nd Avenue. Warren was given a ride from the scene, but the driver stopped in the 17200 block of Division and called 9-1-1.

Based on a preliminary investigation, the Gang Enforcement Team is responding to investigate the shooting.
